Jeni also receives a rosette and the book Horselopedia

Special Prize: I also have a framed plaque of ‘The Horse’, the poem read out at the Horse Of The Year Show, this is to be given, along with a Champion rosette, to the horse I feel most deserves it. I have decided to award it to a horse who regularly enters my shows, she is a beautiful mare with the prettiest face. I didn’t realize for a while that she had a life threatening disease, most people would not have done what her owner has done for her, the mare is called Cara and she has epilepsy. She is eighteen years old and looks a picture of health. She has just featured in Horse Magazine and I urge anyone who hasn’t read it to do so, her owner Helen Weedon has given up so much for her horse and Cara was very, very lucky to find her. I hope Helen has many happy times ahead with Cara and that she continues to make the most of her while she can.
